Why it matters

Your trash can is dirtier than you think

The trash truck empties your can, but it doesn’t clean it. Food residue, leaks and liquid that pool at the bottom are what’s left behind, and in Raleigh’s long, humid summers that becomes odor, flies and maggots fast.

Regular trash can cleaning in Raleigh keeps your bins fresh, keeps pests away from your driveway and garage, and saves you the dirty job of hosing them out yourself.

  • Odor gone

Hot water and sanitizer lift the grime that causes the smell, then a deodorizer leaves cans fresh.

  • Fewer pests

Cleaner cans mean fewer flies, maggots and rodents hanging around your trash.

  • Healthier home

Sanitizing cuts down the bacteria that builds up on lids, handles and the inside walls of bins.

  • Zero hassle

No hose, no scrubbing, no wasted water in your driveway. We handle it on your pickup day.

FAQ

Trash can cleaning questions, answered

How much will trash can cleaning cost in Raleigh?

Oak City Can Cleaning is launching soon with simple flat per-cleaning pricing and no sign-up fees. Across the US, professional trash can cleaning generally runs $15 to $60 per bin depending on frequency, and recurring plans cost less per visit. Join the early-access list and we will send launch pricing first.

Do I need to be home for my trash can cleaning?

No. We come on your regular trash pickup day, after the truck has emptied your cans. Just leave your bins at the curb as usual. We clean them on site, then set them back at the curb, clean and dry.

How do you clean the trash cans?

Each can is rinsed with high-pressure hot water to blast off residue, sanitized to kill odor-causing bacteria, and deodorized. The wash water is contained and captured, so nothing runs down your driveway or into the storm drain.

How often should I have my trash cans cleaned?

Monthly is ideal if you toss food waste, diapers or pet waste, especially in the Raleigh summer heat. Quarterly is enough for most households that bag everything tightly. If your cans already smell, start with a one-time deep clean and switch to a plan.

Do you clean recycling bins and yard waste carts too?

Yes. Garbage cans, recycling bins and yard waste carts can all be cleaned. Add them to your plan as extra cans.

Is there a sign-up fee?

No sign-up fees. Skip a visit or cancel whenever you need to.
